Often my clients ask for my advice on how to frame a portrait or where I would recommend to take their portrait for framing. If the portrait is on a larger scale such as A3 or A2 size or if you are unsure about the colour or style of the frame, I suggest that you take it to your local framer - they are the real experts in helping you choose a suitable frame that will compliment the portrait. Alternatively, if you are feeling confident and creative enough, you can visit Hobbycraft which provides a very wide range of frames and mounting - but they can be quite pricey. Recently though, a customer brought to my attention a website called Picture Lizard, where you can order custom frames and mounting online. After trying their services myself, I would truly recomment this website because it's very easy to order and their prices are very reasonable, so perfect for a smaller budget. I would particularly recommend this site if you are ordering multiple small size portraits (such as ACEO cards), because you can order multi aperture mounts.
